Jesus was leaving the Jews who where taking part in His execution with a quote from the Torah..
Psalms 22:1 "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?"
Jews who knew the scriptures.. and there where a number of them,, when their minds had left the hatred and emotional state behind would then think about what He said and they would end up reading the entire psalm 22.. Many of the Jews who took part in His execution would later become Christians..
