The Jesus character grew up thinking that his daddy was God because Mary had been lying to him from day one. After all, when he was a newborn he was called the king of the Jews. As he got older he talked a lot of smack but he never did anything godly. So, when he got nailed he finally realized that it was all a lie.

The crucifixion story also illustrates the 4th Commandment =Exodus 34:19-20.

@IPmyPants When Pilate asked Jesus what the truth is, the jesus character never answered.

John 18:38 (NLV{v = "Pilate said to Jesus, “What is truth?” After Pilate said this, he went out again to the Jews. He said, “I do not find Him guilty."
