Why was the last words by Jesus on the cross include,"My God , My God , Why hast thou forsaken me"?

Jesus was an apocalyptic preacher who thought that God would rescue him at the last minute and install him as ruler of the world... or of Israel, at least. He made this utterance when he realized that this was not going to happen.

@krass ...so the story goes. Nothing was written down until about 40 years after the presumed event, and then the stories are somewhat contradictory.
