Now I'm going out on a limb because, I really don't know, this is speculation. But I've been trying to come up with a reasonable explanation to this writing and what I come up with, is that it was a mistranslation from Hebrew to English. It was found in other ancient writings outside the bible, where thou was used, meaning you, actually should be thi or thy, meaning your and your meaning the people. Why has your people forsaken me. Your meaning, the person or people that the speaker is addressing. 🤷‍♂️ 🙂
