Did Jesus come to Earth as a religious leader?

No religion died on the cross for me, to save me from my sins....but Jesus did. That makes it a personal relationship with Him. Jesus scolded "religious" leaders in His day. He said they had a "form/appearance" of godliness, but their hearts were far from Him. They were hypocrites. They would stand on the streets and either prayed to God or preach about God and when they prayed they would twist their faces all up as if they were praying in earnest to make people think they were so godly, but they were not. God saw through them. They just wanted to be popular with the crowd and for people to say oh look how holy this person is. They were phonies. But God said in His Word, there's a way to know when people are phony, as well. John 3:16 said that Jesus died for everyone in the world, so he could save everyone in the world, not just a certain denomination. So when it comes to religion, it means nothing when it comes to Salvation, because salvation is for everyone.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, (jesus), that whosoever believes in Him ( for salvation), shall not perish, but have everlasting life." That is a promise from God and he never breaks his promises.

Eternal salvation is above religion. Religion is just manmade philosophy. It is "man" wanting to box God in, to his own idea of what he thinks is the way to heaven, but not following God's Word, nor God's own Plan of Salvation. God did not give man permission to change His great plan. That's because it works.
He was and IS the Son of God. John 3:16 and 17. Not only leader, but most importantly, as our Savior from the condemnation that sin placed on every one of us. Jesus came to rescue us from sin, give us forgiveness of our sins, and promised eternal life in heaven forever.

Jesus came to Earth to make sure that people would know about God's Plan of Salvation and His redeeming love, so that we would not have to guess, but know exactly how to get to heaven. And that is NOT by good deeds or works... no matter what anyone will tell you.

God describes religion as man-made philosophy. He's against it and made that known in His Word for quite a few reasons. It was not religion that died on the cross for our sins. Jesus did. And Jesus said that all the denominations in this world have nothing to do with salvation. Jesus didn't die for just some religious groups in this world. John 3:16 confirms that he died for the sins of the whole world and that anyone in the whole world can be saved, not just some.

My regular birth date is in December, but my real birth date, I count as the day that God saved my soul and I accepted him as my Lord and Savior.

Jesus was sent to earth by His Father, God, to fulfill ALL the prophecies in the Torah, and to try to give the Jews and ALL people of the earth an opportunity to believe in Him, and in His Father, God, saying that to believe in Him, (Jesus), is also to believe in His Father, God.

He said that only those who believe in Him, (Jesus), can come to the Father, God, and ONLY those who keep God's commandments, and repent of their sins, and follow Jesus as did His disciples on earth will have everlasting life.

It is implied that this everlasting life is life in the spirit, because Jesus said, when asked where heaven was located, said, "Heaven is within". (Meaning that heaven is living inside the heart and mind and soul of each man and woman.).

He was often called Rabbi, but even though he was a teacher, he was not a Rabbi. He was the Messiah, the Christ...the culmination of all prophecies. He was KING. But He was NOT King of the physical world or of the country of the Jews, and had never intended that. His sole purpose was to die for all of us, so that we might be saved unto everlasting life.

He came to sell ice creams at the gladiatorial shows. The rest is all hype.

@Diotrephes you have interpreted Jesus Words wrongly.Stop feeding me BS and don't answer if you don't know it. Who cares? I do and so do millions of others.

@Diotrephes Jesus Christ was 100% God. Jesus Christ was 100% man. He came to earth for one purpose, to be the perfect sacrifice to redeem mankind.
Jesus Christ was certainly NOT a Pharisee.
Jesus Christ will come again as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He will not return again as Savior but as judge.

Only one question: Are you covered by the blood of the Lamb of God?
It's been said that He came to destroy religion. If that's so, His ministry was an abject failure

@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP post a link to where it says it. And a link to prove that it is the word of God?
@Harmony the links easy enough: https://acalltotheremnant.com/2018/03/11/jesus-came-to-destroy-religion/ and for proof, just Google Christianity. He started it

@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP this link only states what was said by someone in 2018 and if it was then how can there be any proof of its reliability as the word of God? Please stop with the Bull.
