See what happened to this Ohio pastor who followed the teachings of Christ

Per AlterNet.org:

“Outrage spread Friday after the story about a pastor in Ohio who was arrested and charged for opening his church to homeless people when extreme cold weather struck his town gained national attention.

Chris Avell, the pastor of an evangelical church called Dad's Place in Bryan, Ohio, pleaded not guilty last Thursday to charges that he broke 18 restrictions in zoning code when he gave shelter to people who might otherwise have frozen to death.”

Far right fake Christians seem to have a problem with this. They seem to never ask themselves WWJD?
You are not the judge of who a Christian is, you never get involved with the Christian section here and here you are making judgements.

But YES he was following Christ's teachings and it was disgusting he was charged.

@BritishFailedAesthetic You think Christians do not have an obligation to call out sin? You quietly condone it? Because that is the side of the conversation you entered.

Try reading the Acts of the Apostles to learn what a true Christian life entails.
@KunsanVeteran I am aware. You only bring up faith when politics is involved.

Arrested for helping people stay alive? That's...no...why would that ever happen? Would the city...or whoever is in charge of this...have preferred those poor people froze so the law could be perfectly upheld?

@TexasDude Yes it seems unbelievable. Why wasn’t the city more engaged in preparing for the winter for the homeless if they didn’t want real Christians doing what Christ commanded?
TexasDude · 31-35, M
@KunsanVeteran Who can tell what goes on in some minds and hearts?
KunsanVeteran · 61-69, M
@TexasDude Certainly not what Christ expects of Christians.

I’m not surprised, the peep state has to destroy Christianity in this country.

@LadyGrace read up on the case—you’ll see that the “evil” was due to other supposed evangelicals (I guess we should call them EINO for Evangelicals in Name Only) who didn’t like the pastor opening his church up to homeless in freezing weather LAST year who charged him with zoning violations after he was warned. That’s in spite of interim renovations to the first floor of the church to attempt to comply.
@KunsanVeteran Yes, i remember reading about this case last year. I believe I saw it on video but maybe not because it was the police that came to the parking lot and made the pastor and the congregation all come outside and made them close the church so that's probably another case which I saw.
