Although I am an atheist I am willing to be open to the idea of Jesus being a real person.

From my incredibly basic understanding of the fella. I interpret him being an incredibly intelligent and enlightened guy who amazed his followers during his time so much that they've raised him to a almost impossible level of perfection.

Yottado some more research. Used to think like that too. Keep seeking truth. What one makes of Masiach is the most important decision and should not be made based off of YouTube videos/high sounding philosophies, and most dangerous of all… the opinions of others.

@SW-User absolutely agree, I'm researching different sources

@Guitarman123 remember we live in the age of censorship, as well. George Orwell warned us in “1984”.

The most Important words God ever spoke to mankind in the Bible were:

“Seek my face and live”
“Come, let us reason together.”
“You do not understand everything that I am doing, but you will.”
“I have called you by name, you are mine.”

You have direct access to the Most High through Messiah. It’s a lifelong journey.
I doubt too everyday and I am a leader in my church. But when I continue learning and look to Him for the answers to my questions, my life has more peace and understanding.

Excited for you dude. Never stop asking Him questions. Write everything down.

@SW-User I'm approaching it from a sort of Marxist perspective where I'm questioning much as possible

@Guitarman123 always question it - tear it apart away from any bias and you will find that True Christianity is nothing at all like mainstream atheism/Mainstream American Christianity makes it out to be.

That we believe things completely off base from what was taught.
That God truly does not endorse any of the darkness people claim He does.
Once we get beneath the superficiality of straw man arguments we can finally dial in and dig in.

Dead Sea scrolls. Testament of the Patriarchs. The Prophets. Stay away from Gnosticism; (Gospel of Judas, Gospel of Adam and Eve, etc) it is a different faith altogether.

Read the Apocrphya that was taken out after 1700s.

Read everything the Catholics forbade after king James.

And stay away from American Christians line hippy joe

@Guitarman123 Most importantly reach out to the Most High and wait to hear Him. Your mind can try to be convinced all it wants but you must also understand with your inner-man.

Call it the soul, spirit, heart, whatever.
Both mind and spirit must be fed by God for us to understand anything of substance.

These are the bits I’ve been studying just during our discourse. Great prayers to start a conversation with Him:

@SW-User he's definitely not a Christian based on the little knowledge I currently have

@Guitarman123 You will find the Bible is right when it says “Narrow is the gate, and few find it”

I will never be certain I have found it, either.
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@SW-User I'm assuming that's reffering to being narrow minded
SW-User
@Guitarman123 In a way. It’s a full illustration.

Jesus talks about a wide path that many people walk on, following like sheep, taking the path everyone else is taking, simply because everyone is on it.

Then He talks about the Truth, and warns his followers not to turn from it, not to the left or the right. He says “this is the narrow path, and few will find it”.

He goes on later to say that many people will expect Him to know them and save them in the end because they went through the motions and had the appearance of being Christian. “You washed the outside of the cup, but the inside is still filthy”

We see this everyday, whether we are Christian/atheist/straight/gay/trans/cis/republican/democrat/whatever
