God is not about God

People try to please God, but he is already well pleased. He sees all that we do not see, and we do not see all that he does for us. Even though, it is all for us.

Clarification attempt:
God has no ego, no "I" so nothing is about him or for him. It's all about us.

You make a good point, however I don't believe everyone tries to please God. But you're right that some do and try to earn their way to heaven, but that's not possible. God loves us just as we are. We don't have to earn his love. He already loves and accepts us for who we are, although he doesn't care for some of the things we do. This is when we must repent, so we can enjoy the fellowship with him once again.

Just the opposite. It's not all about us. It's giving God the glory. It's all about him. If it's all about us, then it's our ego getting in the way, if we make it that way. We were put here for the purpose of serving our Lord and he's the only one that deserves our love for what he did for us on the cross. We are here to bring, and give Him glory, not ourselves.
