God wants His people to prosper in all that they set their hearts on doing. His Word says that when others fail, His children will succeed. When other people are buried in defeat, His children will lead lives of victory.
The Lord is our refuge and strength whenever trouble of any variety knocks at our door. As a child of God, safely covered by the blood of Jesus Christ, you have no need to fear—even when things around you seem to be falling apart. For we walk by faith, not sight, keeping our focus on the promises of God, instead of the circumstances. I have found He is faithful to His Word and promises. He will bring victory and deliverance.
That’s the inheritance of the followers of God Almighty. The promise of Psalm 46:1-3 is the foundation of every blessing in your life:
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with swelling.
The life of a child of God is a life of faith and trust, giving Him priority in our life, and loving His guidance by the Holy Spirit. Jesus identified the most important commandment in Scripture:
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength (Mark 12:30). This is not a "have to" situation. He is our Creator. Those who love the Lord, automatically want this. He gave His absolute best for us, giving His own life for us. I never want to give Him less.
We can never ever go wrong by loving Christ. He will never lead us astray nor on the wrong path. Love and fellowship with Jesus will bring you to receive any of God’s wonderful blessings, promises, and protection. Is your heart focused in the right direction, so you can experience the victories He has in mind for you? He keeps those who dwell and focus on Him, in perfect peace. And whosoever turns to him as Lord and Savior, he never turns away. And whatever you are going through, you can always turn to Jesus and he will see you through.

@Thodsis Well, that is what the Lord has declared in His Word. Nothing I made up. And he is willing to do that for every one of us, but he wants his children to know that He takes care of those who trust him, that's all. He loves everyone the same. No matter who they are. This post was meant actually as an encouragement to my other Christian friends here. God loves all the same. He turns no one away.
@Thodsis Apostates are those who have chosen to turn away from the true faith, abandoning what they formerly professed to believe. For example, a liberal denomination that denies the authority of Scripture or the deity of Christ is an apostate denomination.
True Christians do not apostatize. Those who fall away into apostasy demonstrate that their faith was never real to begin with (1 John 2:19). In that case, should they come to the realization of the truth of Jesus Christ and who he was and his mission, and wish to be forgiven, they can then come to Christ. He's not willing that any should perish.
@Thodsis God considers a false faith, as being any person or persons who do not follow Jesus Christ or the teachings of the Word of God. Hypocrites are those that say they are believers, yet say and do just the opposite and do not follow the Word of God at all. They make up their own rules. They live just the opposite of God's Word. Sometimes they fool a lot of people, but they will never fool God.
@LadyGrace Be honest. Christianity started up in a small area in the Middle East, right. You can’t possibly think that the entire would would know, care , or follow Jesus when they have their own gods to appease. If there is only one true god, then only one religion can be right. But they all can be wrong if there is none.
@Thodsis Did I misunderstand you? Are you saying that my answer was what a cultist would say? And how did you determine that? Why would a cultist quote things from the Bible? I quoted something from the Bible how can you say it is from a cultist?
@DocSavage Actually, Christianity started in the Garden of Eden. When God made man and made himself known to mankind. The first Christians were Adam and Eve. They followed God's teachings and loved him and therefore were called Christians, meaning followers of Christ.
Well that's a given that all will not turn to Christ, of course. Yet they will still have the opportunity to hear about Jesus and why he came. After that, it is their decision whether they want to trust in God or one of their own gods.
It's not about religion at all. John 3:16 Says that Jesus came to save the whole world, not just some. It says nothing about what their denomination is, because religion has absolutely nothing to do with salvation. Christianity is not a religion. Anyone can have religion. Religion didn't suffer and die on the cross to pay for our sins. Jesus did. It's a personal relationship with Jesus and everlasting way of life for believers. I am not a member of just any religion or religion at all, for that matter. I am a follower of Christ. Christ is not for religion. Religion is only man-made philosophy which does not follow Christ or his teachings, but make up their own rules. God is for a heartfelt personal relationship with His creation, which is established by the Holy Spirit, after a person has asked for forgiveness of their sins and their sins have been washed away by Jesus and they are now a new creation in Christ. It is impossible for one to call themselves a Christian, apart from the indwelling of the Holy Spirit which God provides upon confession of faith and commitment to Christ.
IF all religions are wrong, as you hypothetically say, if God was not real, well then, they've lost nothing. But if there is a God, of which I have not one doubt there is, yet no one would believe, they will have lost everything, as they have lost their soul and eternity is nothing to gamble with.
@DocSavage oh I was waiting for that Pascal's wager accusation. Your excuse doesn't hold water because it is relevant and you know it. Yes and mythology is exactly that, a myth! There's only one account in the Bible of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden but if you want to believe others who have written myths, go ahead.
@LadyGrace One of the many problems with Pascal, is not only are you assuming there is a god, you’re assuming you got the right one. Humans have been making up gods since the dawn of time. That includes Yahweh and or Jehovah and Jesus if you want to get technical. It also implies that we should fear god, and be ashamed for disappointing him , for not living up to his impossible standards. I myself find that very hypocritical, as god doesn’t live up to his own ideals. Of course ,believers like to overlook those details. Just as you are overlooking the earlier versions of the Genesis mythology. Which as we all know out date the bible by centuries, I myself don’t see why you accept one fable as true, while dismissing the original version as false. But, that just goes back to my point about Pascal. Gods are man made, products of the cultures. One is no more real than the other. No matter how strongly you believe, it still won’t make it true. So, it’s just a pleasing fantasy. Some of us don’t need the illusion anymore.
