I don't believe in god, but...people who are christians say they have a just god....

Sometimes you have to choose between kind and just....apparently that "god" felt being just was more important than showing kindness toward people. Kind of a bad god, huh?

you're normal and the dogmatic creepy bullies that want to shame you aren't helping you nor themselves. Nietzsche said "God is dead." most people think that this statement has to do with his evaluation of nature, life, and existence. That's not accurate. Nietzsche was referring to the fact of living in the 19th/20th century. Nobody goes to the priest or Bible to answer the big questions. Since you ( as in civilized human kind ) don't obviously believe it, but, tend to use it as an association... Nietzsche asked us to be honest about what we do believe, as in what do we value. He was asking good questions. Also, what could be the criteria for a belief? If you can posit that, the rest will come out. Clinging to ancient texts as if that is a virtue is your choice. I say it is not a virtue to be ignorant and promote ignorance.

@pdxlinux Great post. I have posed the same issue to a. lot of people....how can you decide what you believe? Christianity says you have to "believe." But that's not something you can control. I wish I did. nihilism is a recipe for deep depression.
