Made the church lady in the kitchen mad at me tonight.

Her recipe was wrong. I made the sloppy Joe's exactly per her recipe which called out for 20 cups of ketchup per 20 lbs of meat. Seemed a bit high but I just followed the recipe. She comes over and asks me where all of the ketchup went. I showed her the big measuring cup and she said she , "doesn't cook that way". She said she looks at the ounces on the bottle and divides by eight to figure out the number of cups in it. I tried to explain to her the difference between volume and mass and she didn't want to hear about it. Said she didn’t want me to get all technical with her. I even checked the volume of the ketchup container. It holds 12 cups not 18 like she thought. She still wouldn't listen. Just doubled down. Church ladies are the worst.

The ounces on the container are mass. Not volume!

I just followed her friggin recipe.
We need to convert to the metric system. Then she couldn't have screwed it up.
