My problem with Christians

A Christian needs a god or a Jesus Christ to save them from their sins. I don't need any of that. I can save myself. Just by choosing to be a better person. Why do I need a God or a Jesus Christ to save me when I can save myself by just being a better person?

You prideful self deluded being.. You cannot overcome your faulty nature and therefore you sin and therefore you fall short of the perfection of the standards of God.. So no you cannot make yourself a perfect person.. You need the atonement of the LORD Jesus just like every other human being on this planet needs the Atonement of the LORD Jesus to be deemed right with God..

You have been imperfect since you where little and for the short time you have left in your flesh you will be imperfect...

@Adstar The god that you believe in is not a true perfect God. It is a false god created by you. A true perfect God would not create hell. It is only something that human beings would create. Only something that you would create. Because it is you who want people to suffer. The only reason why suffering exists is because we ourselves have created it and inflicted it upon others. This idea of Adam and Eve inheriting sin that needs to be forgiven by Jesus Christ is a false premise created by human beings to justify their own desire to make others suffer.

Christianity says that you are so deeply flawed you are beyond redemption, you can never possibly be "good enough," Jesus is the only one who can ever really love you and you need his love just to survive. Doesn't that sound exactly like emotional abuse? Jesus is essentially an abusive husband.

@SparkleLeaf yes it sounds like an abusive relationship.

We can all seek to be better people and this is a good thing. But you will always make mistakes. That's why we need Jesus because he is there to both guide us aswell as he paid the price for those mistakes (sins) so that we can be forgiven and go to heaven when we die.
