Non-Christians

Why do Non-Christians try to tell Christians what we do or don't beleive in. I am not talking about ex-christians; the ones who may have fallen away from the faith. But the ones who never stepped foot in a church or opened a bible.

Them: "Christians believe in a reincarnated 6 headed penguin that drinks blood."

Me: " oh wow, I had no idea i believed that. Thank you for letting me know." 🙄

Because christians often get preachy and reveal what they believe in anyway so we don't have to strawman anything. It seems that christians among each other don't even have a consensus.

I've read most of the Bible and I really don't understand the hype and how most christians come to certain conclusions about their God.

@Gloomy youbare right about christians debating among each other. One of the sad things about our religion.

@Gloomy exactly, there is a long glorious militant streak in Christianity. @Random3838

The term “fallen away” is a poor choice of words.
I am more than a little familiar with the wording.
The most important idea that a follower of a faith understand, is that their belief is theirs alone.
It’s not a universal.

Faith a fools errand.

@Random3838 I for one, love to search out scripture with other christians to figure out when Jesus will come since we are the last generation. It is so fun. He said you are not in darkness that this day will overcome YOU like a thief! Search out scripture, he says that in the last generation he will reveal it to us.
Random3838 · 36-40, M
@Carazaa how do you know we are the last generation?
Carazaa · F
@Random3838 I have written about this in EP since 2014 and here since 2019

@Carazaa Therefore, stay awake! For you do not know on which day your Lord will come.
Matthew 24:42

@Carazaa “But of that day and hour no one knows, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.
Matthew 24:36

@Random3838 Please read his words carefully. Not then they didn't know, , but we will know, because Jesus said knowledge will increase in the last generation and
you are not in darkness that the day will overcome you like a thief!"
Random3838 · 36-40, M
@Carazaa and you alone have that knowledge?
@Carazaa We will know? No, no one knows. We're not special, this isn't the "final generation".
Carazaa · F
@Random3838 As Noah and his family were the only people God warned and saved. There aren't many people who know the Bible, so no not many know. Just a few.

The Day of the Lord

1 thess 5
…While people are saying, “Peace and security,” destruction will come upon them suddenly, like labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 4 But you, brothers, are not in the darkness so that this day should overtake you like a thief. 5For you are all sons of the light and sons of the day; we do not belong to the night or to the darkness.…

@Carazaa are you comparing yourself to Noah? Earlier you called the brightess theologians Christianity has ever known "ignorant" and now you are claiming you are one of few who knows something that only God knows. Remember that pride was the sin of Satan.
Carazaa · F
@Random3838 All christians longing for Jesus return and searching out when he might come back for us are like Noah!
