We don't observe Lent and all that goes into it but in unison with Christians we do try to observe Shrove Tuesday by eating pancakes. Not out of religion but out of fun.

@MrBrownstone You do. You just want to think you don't . Religion can not be taken out of a human. We all have one. Yours is likely atheism. Which is a religion and when I was part of it it was hard to break free from it because of all the ridicule i was subject to when I finally confessed that Jesus was indeed LORD. But you carry on with your religion and have lots of fun thinking that you are so God like that you can determine which course is best for you. Just a note of caution though. It won't turn out well in the end.
@MrBrownstone You tell me? I am not being forced by religion either. I believe as I believe and having once been an atheist I can assure you that atheism is no less a religion than Christianity or Islam or Buddhism or Hindu or ......
@MrBrownstone @hippyjoe1955 HippyJoe here struggles with certain ideas. If he has religion, he conceives it impossible that someone can live without one. It is the limitations of his own brain.
@AMelancholyHaunting Religion is simply your world view. If you believe the world and all that is, came into existence for no reason or purpose or any other cause then natural forces then your religion is atheism/scientism. You have a world view based on faith. You can't prove your beliefs anymore than a Viking could prove the existence of Valhalla.
@MrBrownstone I did. Read your first comment. That was what I responded to. I am simply pointing out the folly in such a statement. Religion is based on faith. Of course you act according to your faith. Your believe the sun will come up in the morning so you set your alarm to wake up. That is faith.
@hippyjoe1955 That is categorically incorrect. A religion and someone was rotor view are not the same thing. One is specific to the worship of a deity, or deities. The other is not.
@MrBrownstone You can't remember what you wrote? Seriously. You come on here as some sort of antiChristian bigot who thinks his religion is perfect then tries to deny you even have a religion and now you want me to repeat your silly lines because you can't remember them. I know what you wrote. It simply is a false statement. Your religion rules over you.
@MrBrownstone Yes I am anti gay. I don't have a gay lover either. Gay is a bad thing for all those who practice it and there is so much more to life than being gay.
@MrBrownstone The only point I see it the one you are trying to avoid. Religion is innate within us. We simply can not escape it. It is our world view. It is how we think the world operates. How the world came to be. To say you do not follow your religion would make you an insane person. Either you follow your stated religion or you follow your unstated religion or your are insane and simply act irrationally to any given stimulus.
