I Find Certain Christians Stupid...

I am not against religious people but I am seeing more and more ridiculous posts on the internet...

These posts are silly sanctimonious ravings about how atheists are going to Hell and slandering; name calling anyone who isn't Christian.. how very unchristian of you?

It makes me wonder if those people actually know anything about Christianity or the teachings of Jesus "Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone" "judge not less ye be judged" come to mind.

These people are the very opposite of what Christianity is supposed to be about. You guys throw God's name around in vain because you are promoting how Christian you are, using God's name whilst simultaneously behaving as unchristian as possible.

It is well known that
Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone
is not actually part of the original manus script, in other words it was never part of the original bible scriptures. It's just the king james version (and perhaps a few others) that keeps it included because they think it sounds like something Jesus would have said. 😳

Certain people of any group is stupid, but even good christians make mistakes. Making mistakes and having the belief that you can be forgiven for it if you try to change is an integral part to being christian.

Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone

That incident is related to Deuteronomy 13:1-10 (GNT) =
"13 “Prophets or interpreters of dreams may promise a miracle or a wonder, 2 in order to lead you to worship and serve gods that you have not worshiped before. Even if what they promise comes true, 3 do not pay any attention to them. The Lord your God is using them to test you, to see if you love the Lord with all your heart. 4 Follow the Lord and honor him; obey him and keep his commands; worship him and be faithful to him. 5 But put to death any interpreters of dreams or prophets that tell you to rebel against the Lord, who rescued you from Egypt, where you were slaves. Such people are evil and are trying to lead you away from the life that the Lord has commanded you to live. They must be put to death, in order to rid yourselves of this evil.

6 “Even your brother or your son or your daughter or the wife you love or your closest friend may secretly encourage you to worship other gods, gods that you and your ancestors have never worshiped. 7 Some of them may encourage you to worship the gods of the people who live near you or the gods of those who live far away. 8 But do not let any of them persuade you; do not even listen to them. Show them no mercy or pity, and do not protect them. 9 Kill them! Be the first to stone them, and then let everyone else stone them too. 10 Stone them to death! They tried to lead you away from the Lord your God, who rescued you from Egypt, where you were slaves."

The woman was caught worshiping another God, probably Jesus, since he was always going around rambling about how he was the Son of God and how everyone had to worship him if they wanted eternal lie. He was supposedly sinless so it was his obligation to be the first one to stone the woman. But he had to wiggle out of it because if he had then it would have been proof that he was just a BS'er. By not stoning her he was able to maintain his story about being worthy of worship because he was in effect God so the woman had done no wrong by worshipping him as God.

@Diotrephes Well it's a good observation but that entire story of the woman is known to not be original, I just said that one line wasn't in there because AlteredMind only cited that one line 😳
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Diotrephes Also I would say that it would be misguided to worship Jesus. It doesn't explicitly say to worship Jesus anywhere in the bible, and when Jesus refers to worship or praise then he always directs it to his father Jehovah.
Deuteronomy 4:24 For Jehovah your God is a consuming fire, a God who requires exclusive devotion.

I agree, however the type of person who uses a religion to preach hate and misrepresents that religion probably doesn't know all that much about it to begin with.
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@Misanthropic Do you believe in the Bible? If so, then you believe in practicing hate.
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@MartinTheFirst The story is an integral part of the fairytale so how can you dismiss it as not being original?
