Don't worry, dear heart. God will see us through this. Remember the troubled Apostle Peter, fearful of His life, when a horrible storm opened up at sea. Jesus didn't abandon him, and He won't abandon us. The threatening waves that lapped at Peter's feet as he tried to trust Jesus, represents the world, and how weak we become in faith, then fearful, when we take our eyes off Jesus. As long as he kept his eyes on Jesus, instead of all that was happening around him, his heart and mind were at perfect peace and he walked out to Jesus on the water.
Of course, this verse is not suggesting we can walk on water, by any means, but what we CAN do, is put our faith and trust in the One who can... to give us strength in all life's storms. The same power that enabled Jesus to walk on water 2000 yrs ago, and raise from the dead, is the same power that abides in us today through the Holy Spirit...enabling us to do what seems impossible, and shall see us through today. Notice, you can't have your mind on this troubled world and on Jesus at the same time. One brings nothing but fear; the other gives peace and strength. We get to choose which we'll follow.

This is one of my favorites. It always gives me such strength. God is in control. When we read our bible, that brings peace and comfort, as well. When we don't abide in him by regularly praying and reading our bible, our spirit gets weak and fearful. The old saying goes...
One week without prayer, makes one weak. And it certainly does, so the closer we stay to Jesus, the more at peace our hearts and minds will be.

We are still a few fuck ups away from WW3. There's a possibility there, but we're not there yet and hopefully won't arrive at it.
I don't think anyone is going to be happy with how this ends, but there are multiple paths that keep it contained and minimized. The exercise of soft power to break the aggressing nation economically instead of militarily is one such path being pursued. Only time will tell it's effectiveness though.
