I Am Christian

I am not a Christian, but spiritual. When my baby was born, he had some health problems. I brought him to this doctor, that was very religious. The visits were horrible. He used his personal religious beliefs, in caring for my baby. The doctor didn’t even bother to listen to my feelings. He brushed everything off and ignored me. Everything him telling me what to do and what God would’ve wanted. Even when I explained serious medical stuff, his response was “pray about it”. His beliefs were not mine and it really upset me that this doctor would force his beliefs down my throat, and use my baby’s health to do it. Well I stopped seeing him. After two visits. If I had known he would be that way, I never would’ve taken my baby to see him. It would’ve been just one visit instead of two, but was finding another doctor in the meantime.

Mind you, I don’t care about what someone believes or don’t believe, as long as they don’t force it on me or my kids. Plus I don’t need anybody to tell me what my beliefs need to be, when it’s between me and God. He could’ve really done more harm than good, if I had continued seeing him. Just glad I got out in time.

Too bad you didn't get to know the doctor better. He might have seen things you can not imagine. A doctor friend of mine became a Christian after he witnessed what he said was a miracle on the operating table. I am not doctor enough to know if what he said is a miracle or not but the patient died and then came back to life.

@hippyjoe1955 anytime someone forces their beliefs down another’s throat, without taking the time to actually listen to the persons experience, is wrong. Not going back to him was the best decision I ever made as a mother.

@NaturalBeautyQueen Define force. You didn't like what you heard. Is that forcing?

@hippyjoe1955 did you not read my post? I don’t care about how he did it, he did it. I had witnesses there with me as well, who felt the same way I did. I’m not sorry about not seeing him, because my baby have a much better doctor. And thanks to that doctor, my kid is more happy and healthy.

@NaturalBeautyQueen Sounds like you didn't like what he had to say more than he forced anything on you. Doesn't surprise me. People seldom like hearing the truth.

@hippyjoe1955 What truth? So since you were there, what was this guy’s religion? Because Christianity is not a religion. It’s a relationship.
