I have never experienced that ... I have always found assurance, acceptance and blessings at churches ... of many denominations ... and synagogues

@questionWeaver interesting comment. I guess that can be difficut sometimes. I find the intent is sometimes worse than what they say

If they are not firm in faith ... regardless of what they say I can forgive and provide an example of firm faith in return.

You just have to find the right church. Don't judge Christianity by Christians. Some of us aren't so bad.

I grew up in a fundamentalist church, but when I was about 30 I realized that the church was mainly an ego trip for the pastors, and that the infallible Bible that it was based on wasn't quite infallible... Then I started reading histories of the church and Christianity, and discovered some of the most despicable things imaginable.. so I'm done with it all...
