One Cup, One Day, One God

Good morning, friend ☕

You know what God reminded of this morning? I don’t have to rush.

Before I even think about food, the scale, exercises, or what I’m going to do today… I just get up and sit with God. Hot cup of water. Prayer. Bible. That’s it. And I’m telling you... it makes all the difference in the world. Doing things God's way, instead of all my selfish ways of the flesh, and given the wisdom He shares with us, has benefited me way beyond any words could say.

When I start my day talking to Him first, the whole day feels different. I’m not anxious. I’m not running around trying to figure out every little thing. I just feel so peaceful.

It’s the same with food. I used to stress: "What am I gonna eat for lunch? What about supper? Is this good enough?" Whew...that wore me out and made me feel depressed and anxious, all at once!

Now? I just ask Him: "Lord, what do You want me to eat right now?" And He nudges me. One meal at a time. One decision at a time.
No planning the whole week. No worrying about tomorrow. Just today.

Your body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 6:19.
I don’t want to defile it with junk, and I don’t want to defile my mind with worry or rushing, either. That hurts Him. That hurts me. That hurts all three — body, soul, and spirit.

So this morning I’m not worrying about lunch. I’m not worrying about the scale. I’m just sitting in my easy chair and having my hot cup of water w/creamy mushroom powder mixture in it and pumpkin and cinnamon spice☕🍄🎃, my prayer, my Bible...and I’m perfectly content, right here. Happy as a lark.

Matthew 6:34 says, "Each day has enough trouble of its own."
So let’s not borrow trouble from tomorrow, friend. I'm loving just letting go and letting God. And my body is thanking me for it. Let’s just give today to God and let tomorrow take care of itself. It works waaay much better that way.

Start with Him. The rest will fall into place. I promise you - it sets the mood for the whole day.

Praying with you,
A friend who’s learning too. ❤🫂

Good Morning Grace

Well good morning Daniel! Yes it only takes changing our schedule and loving God, putting him first. We have to do this consciously, training our minds and then it comes naturally. But I would say after the first few times even the first couple times, it just feels so wonderful you don't want to Veer from that. That's a very good start for all of us. Thank you Daniel for contributing that to my post.

I was going to quote from Matthew 6:34 too, but I was going to use the KJV:

"Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."

Boy, could those Elizabethans ever write! ❤
@Thinkerbell Amen!!! 😃
