The Misunderstood Verse: No place in the Bible says that women or humans in general, will become angels.
People often confuse this idea with a specific statement Jesus made about marriage in the afterlife:
In Matthew 22:30 (and parallel passages in Mark 12:25 and Luke 20:34-36), Jesus says: "At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven."
In this verse, Jesus is explaining that human marriage will not exist after the resurrection. He compares people to angels only regarding the absence of marriage, not a change in species or identity.
What the Bible Teaches
Humans stay human: Scripture teaches that humans maintain their distinct identity and resurrected physical/spiritual existence rather than turning into angelic beings.
Angels are separate: Angels were created by God as a completely separate order of spiritual beings. They were never human, and humans do not become angels.
