Bible verse interpretation.

I think I have all my thoughts lined up, so bear with me. In 1 corinthians 13 : 1- 10, the apostle paul talks about the characteristics of love. Then, in verse 11 he talks about growing up and leaving childish things behind. Finally, in verse 12 through the end of chapter 14,he talks about spiritual gifts. How does he go from talking about love to talking about spiritual gifts with that one verse separating the two?

Maybe he was trying to cover different things and had a limited amount of time to do it so he touched on it all. After all their main way of traveling with foot, and they walked miles.

And maybe he spent time on spiritual gifts because it's something that he wanted the people to understand.
