What does the Bible foretell about our day and the near future?

The Bible often mentions the end times. People tend to think that means a short period just before Armageddon or the tribulation or however they see it. Actually, the end times began thousands of years ago after the birth of Cain, Adam and Eve's first child.

The Bible says in the last days the love of the greater number will cool off, meaning people won't have love for one another, and most people won't believe in God. It also says that many who profess to believe in God in that time actually prefer what Paul called in the Greek, Mythos (myth). It was later translated into the Latin fabulas (fables). Much of modern day Christianity came through later traditions adopted over time from pagan teachings like Greek philosophy. The immortal soul from Socrates, trinity from Plato, cross from Constantine, hell from Dante and Milton, Christmas from Saturnalia, Yule (the winter solstice) and Easter from the pagan fertility goddess Astarte (Ishtar). Those aren't Bible teachings.

That Jesus will come back to judge the living and the dead, when the gospel has gone out to the whole world.
