in the sense that I'm hoping to get 60+ likes on here. For one, I like to voice the controversial. I don't fear being blocked, muted or ignored, because I get that in real life in spades. I'm a Christian and what they do is to follow in the footsteps of Christ and his followers. The surest way to hell is afterall having the knowledge who Christ is but nevertheless rejecting the salvation that He brings. I'm not perfect, and I haven't claimed that through my words nor my actions. However, though salvation is not aiming to become like Christ claiming that one isn't Christ so that one can exclude anyone one doesn't like isn't Christian either. The two greatest commandments are not only to love God but also to love one's neighbour. How many times have you noticed on here people who block others and then laugh behing their backs? The Bible teaches Christians to avoid unwholesome talk and to build others up instead of tearing them down (Ephesians 4:29): "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."
Hmmm? I had a comment about people who block but you're being serious with this post so I'll keep the humor, at least I consider it that, at bay. I will say getting 60+ likes on SW is a definite challenge. Getting that many reads is a challenge
@val70 Right :) It's in those cases a case of too much time on their hands creating drama on here. This one for me I had high respect for them, I just posted about something she didn't agree with, i'm awful at communicating and give often poor information to work with, for me it's all my own doing whatever goes wrong, and I don't blame the other.
This world is wicked, so being a good Christian in it is challenging, people will make snap judgments, there's no taste or sensibility of the subtle, well rare imo.
@val70 Good way to go about it. :) I liked a movie called Shine, about a pianist who's pretty eccentric, plays Rachmaninov's Concertos 2 and 3 immaculately, he shines, a moment in it has Vivaldi's Gloria while you see him on a trampoline in slow motion, lovely moment.
I got on someone's bad side just now, it bothered me too much so I blocked them. I'd like to share things that people will get the wrong way, taking the moral high ground, but with the dark side it's value isn't general but niche. So to align with that verse, blocking someone who'd only be on their bad side with you would be avoiding unwholesome talk.
@MrSmartyPants I could acclaim your reply as a miracle because normally I don't get any. Not on this subject matter in any case. I've posted on it before. I've seen people blocking others on here just to create their own little world. That's wrong. Especially when they operate two profile names. Not only does one notice this in argumentive replies but also at the silly things that they do say. A good Christian can ignore, but doesn't just block and then pester behind one's back.
