Does anyone else find parts of the Bible to be unironically hilarious? Any believers?
And i don't mean in a mocking "Haw haw look how silly this is" sort of way. I mean is there anyone else who genuinely enjoys and finds certain parts of the Bible to be funny within the context of the story?
I remember reading my grandpa's Bible and laughing out loud during that story where Jacob wrestles with God because Jacob wins. Every story where a human tries to stand up to God, they're always humbled. Except for this one story where a human physically fights Yahweh and whoops his monkey ass.
It's like how Thanos is this unstoppable force in the Avengers comics, but then there's a story where he gets beaten up by Squirrel Girl.
i don't know what the hidden comment says because i never bother to read them but yeah, exactly right. Like sure the scenario is a bit heavy but that's still a funny moment when you pause to consider it for even a moment.
