Not akward but terrifying, it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of a living God, He is a consuming fire Hebrews 12:29.
Not because of his theory, but because he didn't believe on Christ.

@BritishFailedAesthetic hmm... don't forget about the parable of the Good Samaritan.
I dunno how Anglicans view it, but we don't only work by Sola Fide or Sola Scriptura.
Your deeds have an effect.

@basilfawlty89 Both. If you are truly saved from hell, the ONLY way being by believing on Christ and that he shed His blood on the cross and that God the Father poured out His wrath, rightly meant for us, on Him, then you will produce good works- love others, overcome sins, etc.
However, our justification once again is only found in the cross.
It is worth noting I'm a Reformed Anglican and Canterbury probably would not be hapoy being in communion with me, nor I with them.

@BritishFailedAesthetic I see your point, but I don't believe righteous people of different faiths will face eternal damnation.
Also, I know the claim that by Faith alone you'll do good works, but my experience with evangelicals, charismatics and fundamentalists have shown me differently.

That was and can be a struggle but we have to go back to ourselves here- we are certainly not worthy of salvation and we have no righteousness of our own- original sin makes that impossible.
You're getting onto a certain group here- it's probably easiest to say Christian Nationalists. They generally produce false teachings and act like Trump's government is heaven itself.

Possibly, but we're all sinners. Faithful or not.
A proclamation of Faith must be backed by deeds too. Otherwise people sin all week, go to church and repeat.
Modern day idolaters.

We all are sinners indeed and that's why we're not worthy.
As for the above that can be a normal struggle with sin or a false conversion- it would take an essay to discern.
