I Am a Christian and I Love Jesus

Something worth to think about, especially those ardent believers called "Atheists"

Two twins were talking in the womb:
Tell me, do you believe in life after birth?
Of course. After birth comes life. Perhaps we are here to prepare for what comes after birth.
Forget it! After birth there is nothing! From there, no one has returned! And besides, what would it look like?
I do not know exactly, but I feel that there are lights everywhere … Perhaps we walk on our own feet, and eat with our mouth.
This is utterly stupid! Walking isn’t possible! And how can we eat with that ridiculous mouth? Can’t you see the umbilical cord? And for that matter, think about it for a second: postnatal life isn’t possible because the cord is too short.
Yes, but I think there is definitely something, just in a different way than what we call life.
You’re stupid. Birth is the end of life and that’s it.
Look, I do not know exactly what will happen, but Mother will help us…
The Mother? Do you believe in the Mother? !
Yes.
Do not be ridiculous! Have you seen the Mother anywhere? Has anyone seen her at all?
No, but she is all around us. We live within her. And certainly, it is thanks to her that we exist.
Well, now leave me alone with this stupidity, right? I’ll believe in Mother when I see her.
You can not see her, but if you’re quiet, you can hear her song, you can feel her love. If you’re quiet, you can feel her caress and you will feel her protective hands.

This is why I really love Platos Theory of Caves.
And why I do not knock down something just because I do not understand it.

In a situation like this, where if you don't understand if there is a God, or is there a heaven or hell, I think like you said, it's good to read about it in books. I find if you asked ppl on the internet in social media sites such as this one, there's too much negative to learn from. I began to understand at the age of 19. I never gave up on it until I was comfortable finding out the answers I got. I don't give up on anything anyways, lol. But until I was satisfied within, I searched, I read and asked only my parents and close friends on their thoughts. I never asked anyone on the internet.
Stick with it, it will come to you!

For someone who thinks Atheists "need" Christians, you sure do post about Atheists alot .. projecting much?
Dreammmer · 56-60, M
@Pherick: I do not need tools to believe in Jesus Christ. That is amazing isnt it, that people believe and even risk their life even though they have no tools to prove what they are sure of. Do you use tools to prove the love of your wife? Do you use tools to prove that you can trust your doctor?
Why do you ask me questions when you already know the answer?
Pherick · 41-45, M
@Dreammmer: I am just hoping you would come back with something besides parroting "faith" over and over again.

Please stop equating love/trust/feelings with your belief in god. They are not the same. The difference being you can actually measure the way love/trust/feelings affect the human mind.

Why do you keep posting clickbait if you don't want Atheists to reply? Nevermind, I already know the answer. Enjoy.
Dreammmer · 56-60, M
@Pherick: I never claimed that feelings are the same as faith. But both have relevance and importance even though you cannot prove them by facts. There is a lot that matters in life that is not possible to prove by facts. You have never measured love or trust or hope, you just take it for granted and enjoy it - hopefully.
I wish my future babies were this smart (._.

What ? 😂

I believe in the idea of life after death, but the details Christians (and other religious organisations) try to claim as facts make it hard for me to want to take part in such organisations. The overall belief that we are ignorant to what happens after death is a good one to have, but trying to fill in that ignorance with words written in books- and trying to turn those words into facts- kind of contradicts being open to the possibilities beyond our ignorance...
Dreammmer · 56-60, M
Then what is the basis for your belief? What makes you sure?
There is no such overall belief that people are ignorant to what happens after death. I dont know where you get that from. Christians believe that God has revealed Himself and truth about life after death, that is fundamental to Christians. For example, the resurection from the dead is central for Christian life and faith. I think it matters a lot if your belief is wishful thinking or if it is trust in the authority of God speaking in and through His word. I see no contradiction.

I love this. Faith is all it takes.

True. Of course, babies dont talk. But there is a world outside the womb :)
Wow! Beautifully written metaphor!
