I Am a Christian and I Love Jesus

The fool says in his heart,
“There is no God.”
They are corrupt, their deeds are vile;
there is no one who does good.

Psalm 14

The bible knows about atheists - those who deny God's existence. But the references to them in the bible are very, very, very few. The more important question for the biblical writers is this: "who is the true God?"

Atheism is a nonissue in the bible. One could even say that atheists are nonexistent from a biblical point of view.

On the other hand I notice that many atheists make constant reference to the bible and to Christians in their posts and their replies. Atheists react to the bible and to Christian claims as if they derive energy and life-support from interacting with what they deny and fight. Modern Atheism is a reactionary movement to a large degree. I dare to say that Atheists need Christians just like fire needs oxygen.

Another unnverving fact about atheists is their strong tendency to being cynical and ironic in their interacting with believers and their strong aversion to certain arguments and facts - rather than admitting that they have no answer to certain phenomena and cant explain some facts and arguments, they simply deny their relevance and ignore those arguments and facts. Atheists claim to have a great love for science and tangible evidence, at the same time they do the very opposite of scientists - who do their research without bias and prejudice, who take all facts and evidence into account.

My personal impression is that a good number of atheists lack peace and harbor a lot of anger and even hatred inside them. Not all of them. Please reply with respect and kindness :)

A lot of people who identify as atheists (or agnostics) are angry because they aren't allowed to feel as they do in peace. I've never been stopped on a street by an atheist with literature; none have rung the doorbell of my home early in the morning to proselytize. When an atheist is kind, generally it's not because of a fear of divine retribution if they're not. For the purposes of this discussion I can say "agnostic" comes closest to describing my feelings. I generally don't volunteer that information, not because I'm conflicted or ashamed, but I've had the experience of people not respecting it, and changing the subject back to their faith and why I should believe as they do.

Your explanation for the anger of atheists do not really convince me. First, I doubt that Christians really visit you and talk with you that much that you get angry about all Christians. Second, you are confronted with adds every single day through tv, radio and billboards and print media, and yet you are not angry with the companies that want your attention and interest. Third, Christians are not kind out of fear of punishment. That is rather ridiculous and even if someone were able to force people to be kind, it just does not work and never has worked. Kindness cannot be forced.
