Quiet Conversations with God [Entry #1] - [Psalm 4:8]

[b]Psalm 4:8 [NLT] - "In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, O Lord, will keep me safe."
Tonight, I'm slowing down enough to notice the quiet. The world outside feels still, and I can finally breathe. It's in these moments that I remember how much I need God's peace; not just the kind that calms my surroundings, but the kind that settles my heart.
I think about how often I try to carry everything myself; the worries, the plans, the things I can't fix outright. Yet, God keeps reminding me that peace isn't found in control. It's found in surrender.
Psalm 37:5 [NLT] says, "Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you."
This verse gives me that gentle nudge tonight, a reminder that I don't have to carry every burden into tomorrow. There's something about nighttime that makes God's presence feel closer than ever. Maybe it's the quietness, or maybe it's the way my thoughts tend just settle.
Psalm 46:10 [NLT] says, "Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world."
Honestly, that's what I feel like I need; not more answers, not more strength, just the peace in itself knowing that He's here. So as I end this day, I'm choosing to release what's weighing heavy on my mind, heart, and spirit. I'm giving it to God.I give to him my worries, concerns, questions, and the things I can't fix alone and on my own. I'm trusting that He's already ahead of me, already working, and already holding tomorrow. Heavenly Father, Sovereign Lord, I thank you for watching over me. Thank you for being my peace when everything else feels uncertain. Tonight, I choose rest; not because everything is perfect, but because You are! Amen xoxo
