@SunshineGirl You are the modern thing.
Welcome and embrace them.

That is clearly said in the Bible in multiple verses. Look it up.
The verbiage in the various translations differs so the word "immigrant" is not found. Instead it says "sojourner", "traveler", "alien"...............
A few examples........
Deuteronomy 10:18 – “God loves the strangers” (gerim).
Leviticus 19:34 – “The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born” (nokri).
Exodus 22:21 – “Do not mistreat or oppress a foreigner” (nokri).
Hebrews 13:2 – “Keep your hospitality, for strangers are guests of God” (gerim).

Jesus exhorted his followers to welcome strangers. The message is crystal clear.

@SunshineGirl and yet today his followers still lock their doors

Love everyone, help those that need it

Many seem unaware of the messages of hospitality and compassion to foreigners. Those hoping for support for xenophobia from the Gospels will be disappointed. Just as in the book of Acts it's described how the early Christian community sold their private property, sharing and dividing everything according to need, and living a very communitarian life. These are some core messages and ideas that are often ignored and denied today.

The ones that can walk on water can stay.

actually he was quite strongly opinionated against criminal acts, abuse, political power, deceit, etc.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@frugalhermit That was the story told by the Jews who developed the Christian Bible.

Legal or illegal?

If there was a god, there would be no refugees.

@emiliya telling someone they are going to hell is a lousy way to get through. I assume you weren't doing parody. You don't get to decide that anyway

I also don't get to decide what day it is, but still know what day it is. And I have to deal with the day it is.

Let's be real. If the Evangelicals are right we will never know because Jesus would be disappeared in an ICE concentration camp.

You don't even need the New Testament to make an educated guess at what Jesus would say. If you read the Old Testament, and consider the values of the ancient world, Israel's neighbours were probably all laughing at them for being SJWs of the middle east
ImperialAerosolKidFromEP · 51-55, M
@Kypro like I said, an OT-based educated guess.
Yes, Israel's neighbours would have learned about their principles of dealing with foreigners fairly instead of treating them as inhuman playthings and mocked them as social justice warriors

@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP why guess if it’s in the new test.?
emiliya · 26-30, F
@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP The Jew emerged after the Bronze Age and was new to the peoples of the Middle East and Mediterranean. He crushed Canaan and did everything not to be one of them. What are you talking about?
