Surprising

how with one sentence Archbishop Mullally

"I stand with my brother in Christ, His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, in his courageous call for a kingdom of peace"

described the place to be in every moment of a Christian's life: right underneath the cross of Jesus Christ

Moreover, she spoke out today as Pope Leo in Cameroon doubled down on his criticisms of war and violence, stating that the world was being "ravaged by a handful of tyrants". The pope went further to describe so-called “masters of war” who pretend not to acknowledge that “it only takes a moment to destroy, yet often a lifetime is not enough to rebuild”, thus attacking those in power who turn a blind eye to the billions of dollars spent on killing and devastation while “resources needed for healing, education and restoration are nowhere to be found”. The world is “being ravaged by a handful of tyrants, yet it is held together by a multitude of supportive brothers and sisters” Pope Leo proclaimed

@Heartlander Did you actually read the post, or have you simply filtered "Pope Leo" to post your own, completely irrelevant response?

Sarah Mullally is not a Catholic, she is leader of the Church of England.
@SunshineGirl

Absolutely! And what I got from it was the collaboration of religious supposed leaders trying to convince the guards of freedom to not respond to the threats or acts intended to kill them. The suggestion that everyone on earth has moral equivalence is like handing a sword to someone who hates you so they can chop off your head.

Leo's condemnation of Trump's rhetoric is like saying he is wrong to threaten with the consequence of what will happen if Iran crosses the line in the sand? How many millions and millions and millions of innocent people would be alive today if European leaders in the 1930s had the courage to yell and threaten Hitler the moment he set foot into Poland?

Leo comes across as Joe Biden's mouthpiece. And other religious so called leaders are coming to his aid much like Democrats closed rank around Biden. This smells like like collusion between leftist Democrats and leftist supposed religious. It has that odor.

@SunshineGirl It's so surprising that some don't even know the simple message out of Gospel

It is difficult to see a way through this.

All we can do is be persistent in prayer.

Negotiating is the key here. Facilitating these should at the priority. Wise counsel is needed.
This is where Pope Leo could help. It is where Sarah can support him.

All I know is that God’s goodness will prevail.

@jshm2 I'm sure that you have legions to call on
Not only does she have poor discernment about who is a Christian (Not surprising I guess as she isn't one) but she is biblically unqualified for the role.

They are right about the war, mind. At least there's that.

@BritishFailedAesthetic A Christian is a person who follows or adheres to Christianity, an Abrahamic monotheistic religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. They believe Jesus is the Son of God, who died for the sins of humanity, rose from the dead, and is the savior promised in the Bible. I'm not going to pick yet another fight here but the Gospel is the central of the Bible that one needs to concentrating on, not like any Pharisee known for their strict adherence to both written Torah and oral tradition which was continously in conflict with the teachings of the Christ
