Faith Without Works Is Dead

It takes both - many teach today that it's not your works but faith - which is an untruth. Your works or what you do whether you are obedient or disobedient. Jesus said even the demons believe but they were not obedient therefore their place isn't in heaven.

JAMES 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. https://share.google/Zxnq4KcVr7QbppUCn

It is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

Then, once saved and as our relationship with Jesus deepens, transformation happens. That is the natural evidence that we are saved - the over flow of the holy spirit produces good works and the fruits of the spirit are evident to other people as we become more like Jesus.

Which goes back to the scriptures James wrote faith without works is dead it takes both.

@Charity it happens after you are saved though. It's about Jesus, not us.

As a Christian I am fully aware of Yeshua.

The unsaved has no Works nor a place in heaven.

The saved have and should have work's as written in Revelation 14, which follows them unto the day of judgment.

You say it's not about us, I believe I understand what you're trying to say and yes it is about Jesus BUT Jesus came here for US which makes it about us. It is about what we do or don't do / our actions / whether obedient or disobedient / works. As James said not by faith alone. Abraham had faith but his works was HIS ACTIONS by doing what God told him to do, taking Isaac up to the altar, Abraham had not taken Isaac up it probably would have been different outcome at that point in time.

What I wrote is what James a disciple of Jesus said in chapter 2. Faith without works is dead.

Thank you - we all know the church is well divided on interpretations of many scriptures. How many actual denominations and actual sub-denominations a few hundred

We are saved by Faith and Faith alone... No one is saved by Works.. Anyone who thinks they are saved by works has rejected the actual Way of salvation ,which is by believing Jesus and trusting in the Atonement He secured on the cross that pays the penalty for sins..

@Charity I never said you claimed that ONLY works saves.. Once again you add to my words.. You are like so many others who Mix Works with Faith as a sum that equals salvation.. That Jesus did not pay the full price of our salvation, that we must pay a percentage of our salvation by our works..

I will say it one last time for you:

if we believe and trust in the Atoning work of the LORD Jesus who sacrificed himself on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins one will be saved.. Our performance in doing good works neither adds to the security of our salvation nor does it undermine our security..

Our good works builds for us treasures in eternity and some of us will be called Great in the kingdom of heaven because of the quality of our loving works.. Some will not have as many good works and they will be called least in the kingdom of heaven.. But as far as salvation goes it is 100% founded on us Believing Jesus and trusting in what He did to save us from the eternal lake of fire..

@Adstar oh but you did, your whole conversation is based on we are not saved by works only which is more than indicating your thought is I mean we are saved by works only.

I haven't added anything to your word

Oh gosh - where I've already replied on someone else's post you suddenly appeared with a comment a few minutes ago.

As Jesus is Lord this is my last comment to you for quite some time, will not read anything else you say but as soon as I know you've read this comment, by receiving your response I will block you out, hope you block me first. Please do!

@Charity No the conversation was about What Saves Us... My positon is that only Faith in the atonement of Jesus saves us.. That our works plays no part in our salvation.. Salvation is only by Trusting in what Jesus did for us on the cross..
