Seriously????? The Crusades? Inquistion? Christianity has dominated Europe for 1,500 years. If you weren't Christian, you were murdered. Give me a break. Certainly you should know this with all the Wiklipedia copying and pasting you do?
@Ximenajacoba The purpose of the Crusades was to take the Holy Land from the people who owned it; Christians persecuting non Christians. The purpose of the Inqusition was to kill anyone who had different views than the Church, again Christians perscuting people. Let's add in the colonialism worldwide. Christians killing and forcing others to be Christians.
Christians aren't the opppressed, they are the oppressors.
@Ximenajacoba False. It was to take the Holy land in the name of Christianity. You don't have to visit the holy land to be christian. They also plundered the wealth along with it.
The problem with Christians these days is that they feel oppressed if people don't believe in their faith or assert their own beliefs and they cannot force them. Criticism is not oppression.
@BlueSkyKing in their efforts to convert others, definitely, unfortunately human beings are imperfect therefore they have a zeal that lacks many aspects of being humane which means they become oppressive in their delivery of the Gospel to the world. It was not a case of mass murder such as Islam pursues in finding resistance. The shame of all religions is the lack of tolerance resulting from the zeal of proselytism. One child lost is a tragedy only with Christian zeal life lost will in faith result in resurrection. I can’t believe the horrors religion has caused be it Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Shinto, or Hindu, Zoroastrian or Communist!
