Will do the rest of sermon notes tommorow but I will focus on an important topic focused upon in today's sermon- lone wolf Christians and what the pastor said in the sermon.
. "I don't need church" so when God the Father sent His beloved Son Jesus (God The Son) on the cross, you think he intended for believers to live isolated lives from the church?
. Brilliant analogy from my pastor- Christians that willingly don't go to church are like single burning coals that get seperated from the fire source- they keep hot for awhile but will surely burn out and go cold.
. "Saints delight to be with each other" Matthew Henry- Every true Christian knows this is true as Christians delight to be with each other as we are a family in Christ.
. "A Christian that does not attend a Gospel church has lost his first love" Stuart Olyott
My own thoughts
Bang on true. A prominent Christian poster on here doesn't do service as they never mention the importance of attending a church and having the special love God does for other believers.
I made a mistake admittedly on here but publically on their post the author rebuked me and said "God has called us to love all not some". Interstingly the person (not the poster) I rebuked on the post actually sent me a DM thanking me.
""God has called us to love all not some" on the surface this sounds correct. Paul had a deep love for unbelievers and so should we. But it neglects the special love Christians have for each other. And since their other posts never mention this, this is HIGHLY problematic according to 1John.
I see this as a common circle- people not attending a church on here treat X and Truth Social like spiritual warfare- Gavin Newsom and Trump arguing is not spiritual warfare. Your struggle with sin and the spiritual health of your church community is spiritual warfare.
A note- I am not reffering to believers who literally cannot physically make it to a church or who live in dangerous regions- the Middle East, etc.

Hi my friend! A few if i may , offer some insights here too? When God told us, the people, to be " the church" he said to not forsake the assembly of tge saints, and i agree 100, no man is an island..however, TRUE CHRISTIANS, go to church, read their bible, study and apply it, and live it out. Several times folks say tgey believe in Jesus, yet the bible states the devil and his demons believes too...i am the rest of the remenent like you, i love coperate worship, and independent worship. I enjoy personal devotion and group bible study. I believe and have recieved great experience in coperate innercessory prayers! I also feel people who dis engage church buildings, have people issues not Godly issues. One of my friends works on sundays and i explained she doesnt HAVE TO WORK SUNDAYS..she got upset stating if she doesnt work sundays, she gets a half point. If she DOES work sundays, she gets a time and a half bonus..my question is why and when does momey over shadow God? God provides and by our faith we can clearly fellowship as believers! I pray my friend will see the difference in greed and need. What do you think of companies and ball games, and others who place that beforehand instead of church? At my old job, i had a mandatory sunday, but my boss at that old job, knew i was gonna take a point so he told me come in after services ended at noon. I respected that boss who later retired, but i still feel your life and others who arent sick or unable to get out of bed physically, STILL need the church!
