Wednesday Bible Study Notes 08/10/25

Wow, did I need this Bible study yesterday night at our usual amazing Baptist church.

. Trials- the first thing we ought to do is pray. God sends trials to sharpen you and make you pray.

. Trials- To humble, to soften, to make us more serious in our faith.

. As Christians we are always welcome at the throne of grace- we can pray anywhere!

. This was a pretty bold statement and hard to note from the pastor but it will stick with you! Let's say you were buried alive. It is an unusually quiet time and you will die soon but try not to panic- use that time to talk to Christ.

. Once in Christ in him forever. As a Christian, let's say you're in social housing in a rough area- you also have the absolute worst of neighbours. Across the street from you in the same area there are large townhouses where everyone has supercars but they care not about the things of Christ.

When you wake up after a awful night sleep from the thudding music blasting through the walls, and have a coffee or tea with your daily Bible reading, rest assured. You are actually the richest person in your area.

You have the exceeding riches of God's word and an eternity where even comparing the townhouses to a sewer in comparison to heaven doesn't even give the glories of heaven that awaits you any justice.

. My pastor has heard people say "I don't have time for Christ" my friends say the same thing and additionally someone on SW has said this to me. You are rejecting your only hope of eternal mercy.
