Genesis 1:16-17 (understanding what firmament and dome means)

[media=https://youtu.be/qaI6OVYlf-E?si=O-07UoTtt0QJabHK]

Same post I've been writing also states that the Stars are lights set in a dome over the Earth. No it does not!

And stars are lights, the Bible didn't say what the stars were made of but they are bright lights in the sky. And those verses is about the two great lights created for the Earth herself.

One needs to find out exactly what firmament means: heaven // sky

And the dome of the sky in case one wants to say something about a dome: 1 dome indicates circle. 2 a dome is an enclosure, what enclosures circle the Earth - atmosphere gravity, gas, magnetosphere etc

Have you and I have been through that subject once before?

If we did I'll put it a little bit more plainer: Certain people who translated the Hebrew scrolls, wrote their translation into the Bible, who owns Black African slaves used the word slaves instead of servant to justify they're horrific deeds and still do.
@Charity The god of the Old Testament allowed people to be own as property that can be inherited. Also they could be beaten. Exodus 21.

God never told them to beat their servants, actually he told them the opposite and gave them rules.

He allowed servants, servants, servants and if you want to call them slaves then you do so. And to be a person's property simply means treat them like family / take care of them / house them / feed them protect them. Just like you would your own property I know I do mine and I defend it. What about you?

the Bible does not say they could beat servants

it says IFyou SMITE them.

Definition of smite is to strike, to hit whether with an or object -- singular

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/smite

Definition of beat is continual striking hitting with hand or object

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/beat

The newer versions of the Bible translated smite into beat and there is a big difference. And if you choose to promote the word beat then you should also include the word - if - if - if which is the total opposite of giving permission to.

But

Think as you choose
