Way more beautiful gospel with the church fathers the first 500yrs believed that Love wins and everyone gets fixed and God destroys hell and everyone gets to be with God and get to heaven. Jesus dad doesn’t need firewood of tortured souls to warm his into eternity.

Rob Bell upset a lot of people with Love Wins when he said the Bible supports pist-mortem salvation and everyone is eventually saved.

@LeopoldBloom I think that’s what Last judgement is about. Every eye will see Him, all of creation is raised back to life and Jesus says “here’s your chance again” and even better….since He will never leave or forsake …Ultimate Love is with you in Hell and keeps loving you until you give up and decide to love Him and return to Him ….would be annoying to have someone badger you with his love for eons till you return eventually right?

@MrEverclearBlueSkies What Bell said was that souls in hell can accept salvation anytime they want. It's not like a game where if you aren't saved by the time you die, salvation is off the table. His questions are:

Does God want everyone to be saved? Yes. Bell isn't a Calvinist.

Does God get what he wants? Again, yes. And if you accept the answer to the first question, then everyone will be saved, because not being saved means the person would have to be stronger than God if they can keep him from getting what he wants. Therefore, everyone is saved.

@LeopoldBloom winner winner chicken dinner. Her Gates Will Never Be Shut by Brad Jersak. God will be all and in all. I love that God is reconciling and fixing the whole world of creation cause mercy triumphs over judgement and if every knee will bow and confess he is Lord then what Maximus the confessor and all early church fathers believed - first 500 yrs of church was all a bout God reconciling the world and repairing creation through Christ.
