Just curious about what people think…

Do you think a pastor should be allowed to continue leading a church after his wife committed adultery? Why or why not?

Our youth pastor’s wife committed adultery and that really divided the congregation. I also left because of it.

The pastor needs to leave the church if he is unable to live in a state of grace. How is a religious leader able to set an example to his congregation if he is incapable of leading his wife?

@sree251 exactly my point. His wife is disciple.

Not all of Jesus' disciples were faithful. Judas betrayed him. Peter denied Jesus three times when he was questioned by the guards who came to arrest Jesus.

@sree251 true, but it didnt just happen because she was not in her right mind at the moment. It was going on for awhile until it was brought to light.

Dwell on Gods grace, it may help you.

Why do you say that?

@sree251 Grace is a gift totally undeserved

Through grace we receive The Holy Spirit. And develop the fruits including goodness, compassion, peace and love.

Through grace we obtain our relationship with God.

It is central to life.

Grace is a gift totally underserved.

Do you mean "undeserved"? And what do you mean by "Grace"? What did the word mean when the biblical writers used it?

Through grace we receive The Holy Spirit. And develop the fruits including goodness, compassion, peace and love.

Through grace we obtain our relationship with God.

It is central to life.

Seems to me that "grace" is a sudden awakening, a transformation from that which is dead to that which is alive.
