On discernment and bias.

[media=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdxW-BOEURo&t=289s]

This will be another post that won't be popular but it is necessary for discernment.

Ages ago I made a post saying Trump's proffesion of faith was not genuine, I used a great video Justin Peters did on this (he is a Trump voter himself).

What happened? A certain Christian poster and their bizarre sidekick started screaming like a banshee at me, distracting the post (I even said Kamala and Biden weren't Christians either).

I have now blocked them so you all can listen undistracted (this post was not my reason for blocking them, blocked them ages ago).

Please listen to 0:55-1:12 (I assume you're not watching the whole video) that is a pure works based salvation.

And look at the "faith office", it is led by a Biblically unqualified pastor and does not go by a proffesion of faith.

Once again a reminder to not have worldly heroes and that as Christians we are not called to influence government policy, but to spread the Gospel.

Absolutely spot on. There is only one Messiah and he was never allied to a political party when he lived under a brutal, authoritarian occupying force.
@FreddieUK Yes, Christ (God the Son) never really mentioned politics but he always mentioned God's kingdom!

Amazing. No calls anywhere in the NT for Christians to get involved in government.

There are ofcourse limits when a government does evil- I am reminded of the French Calvinists under Nazi occupied France who helped the Jews flee safety to Britain, etc.
