God does not hope!

I saw someone on here who actually said God is hoping. Yes that's right. Open Theism at it's finest.

Wow, no wonder many professing Christians on here insult others in the politics section, no wonder a professing Christian man on here regularly makes NSFW posts if that's the kind of God they worship! (He even got challenged on his profession by a pagan 😆).

"God is hoping" is an absolutely absurd statement from the point of view of both the Calvinist and Armenian camps. That language is pure open theism. Let's call a spade a spade.

Calvinist- Need I even bother?

Armenian- Yes God has given us free will but he sees eternity past, the past, the present, the future and eternity future and though Christ (God The Son) died for everyone, God knows who will come to him.

God desires and it is scriptural, the word desire sometimes displays hope or want.

@Charity First time I've seen you comment on my posts!

The word from an Arminian perspective would be desire, etc. But not hope.

I hope to get a job soon, etc. But I can't see the future.

Your example: You desire to get a job but you don't hope to get one, you don't want to get one.

Okay
@Charity Again fascinating these are only parts of what I post. No encouragement from other ones mentioning persecuted believers, biblically solid ones, etc. The first one you decide to engage with and you play semantics.
