God does not hope!

I saw someone on here who actually said God is hoping. Yes that's right. Open Theism at it's finest.

Wow, no wonder many professing Christians on here insult others in the politics section, no wonder a professing Christian man on here regularly makes NSFW posts if that's the kind of God they worship! (He even got challenged on his profession by a pagan 😆).

"God is hoping" is an absolutely absurd statement from the point of view of both the Calvinist and Armenian camps. That language is pure open theism. Let's call a spade a spade.

Calvinist- Need I even bother?

Armenian- Yes God has given us free will but he sees eternity past, the past, the present, the future and eternity future and though Christ (God The Son) died for everyone, God knows who will come to him.

I agree that ""God hoping"" is a very false dotrine.. It basically denies the all knowing ability of God..

But i am not sure how you go calvanisim and Armenianism mixed up with that doctrine..

I have never heard a calvanist or an armenian promote such a doctrine..

And yeah i agree with the Armenian statement you have posted::

Armenian- Yes God has given us free will but he sees eternity past, the past, the present, the future and eternity future and though Christ (God The Son) died for everyone, God knows who will come to him.

This above statement excludes the possability of God hoping for a persons salvation.. He foreknows everyone who is going to be accept His way of salvation..

I didn't. I said that neither believe this.

@BritishFailedAesthetic Sorry mate, i must have misread your post..
@Adstar Not quite, the way I phrased it could easily have been confusing, thanks to your pointing out, I have modified it.
Maybe it's a poor choice of words. You think that's bad, another SWeep was talking about having to forgive God! How weird is that? After a while it became clear that what he was talking about was releasing one's anger at God. But it's a weird choice of words
@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP Could be but I'm very cautious of false teachers.

Did you clarify their choice of words?
@BritishFailedAesthetic yes, that's how I know this bandersnatch just had a twisted definition of "forgive"

@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP Yes forgiving God would imply that God has sinned against you.. And since we know God does not sin.. It is virtually laying a false accusation against God..
