Texas Floods And The Church

I am sure we are all keeping Texas in our prayers at the moment.

As Christians we view other Christians as much our family as our own blood relatives- we grow in this knowledge and it takes a lifetime of growing- we all have to continue growing in this glorious truth.

I learnt through reports today the floods affected Camp Mystic, a Christian camp. Now, I am aware what the title of the camp sounds like but be assured they are doctrinally sound and the Gospel is there.

One moment those at camp were learning about heaven and God's glory and the next thing they are now there.

My prayers for all of the families and may Christ's comfort be with them at this hard time.

Growing up 80 years ago we read or were read stories about the littlest angel. Stories that prepared us for the deaths of other children, classmates, cousins. Stories that kept alive the spirits of deceased children to help ease the transition that comes with death.

Are those stories still being told?

@Heartlander No, I don't remember it.

I can't say the story aligns Biblically about heaven though.

People just focus on this life until events like these occur.

@BritishFailedAesthetic the same seems to be true about preparation for all cause disasters. Finally the media is getting it correct. We shall see if the interest lasts.

I hope none of those kids were secret Satan worshippers.
