Wycliffe Bible Translators Focus Points May-July 2025

. We begin with a tribute to Ifè Bible translator Edoh Kakeb Agounkey- he went to be with his Saviour on 8 February- he had for 30 years worked on the Ifè Bible translation- the ifè NT is now 92% complete- please pray for it's translation to complete.

I don't know if saints in glory can know what's happening on earth, but if they can I know Edoh will be celebrating in glory when the Ifè translation is complete!

. We learn of Laminu from Ghana- he got saved when a Koma language New Testament reached him.

Think you're enthusiastic for fellowship? Laminu cycled 17 miles EACH WAY to church. But God had plans for Laminu still- Laminu set up a fellowship in his own village and his church is now the largest in the area!

Laminu is now happy the Old Testament has been translated too- his community love having the whole Bible in the Koma language!

. Meet the Bible translator- Sam (not real name) struggled to have concern for the lost- but God used the passage about Nineveh to spark Sam's passion for the lost.

Everyday Sam's passion for the unsaved continues to grow and his passion moves him to work on a translation for his people!

Sam starts the day the right way- thanking God for his blessings and at the translation office the team meet for prayers to seek God's wisdom and for their growth in Christ.

30 years! Lord rest his soul. Pretty sure that mans in a better place.
@Matt85 We can be sure a person is in heaven if they realised they were a sinner and trusted on Christ and his sacrifice for their sin. There is NO other way to heaven.
