Faith Without Works is Dead

[media=https://youtu.be/ZlK5I6-7Nis?si=IbvN36x5UDmoA_ok]

Maybe I'm misunderstanding some people but from what I've heard many people speak of over the years is faith alone saves you, that we're not saved by works. That's like saying because I have faith because I believe in Christ I am automatically forgiven and I can just do what I want. That's not what the Bible teaches even Christ said the devils believe.

We're not saved by works alone but we're not saved by faith alone either, it is a combination of both. As Paul said should we keep on sinning, God forbid. Jesus spoke of what he expects and that is to keep his commandments, and that is a part of our works.

According to the biblical farytale, a person is "saved" if God wants that person to be saved. You don't have to be squeaky-clean to be granted eternal life. You just have to do what the God character commands you to do. That might involve killing lots of people, like Moses and his goons did when the the people worshipped the golden calf while Moses and God were chatting.

The Bible has lots of such stories. So, is it sinful to commit murder? Remember, Jesus won't return until a magic number of people have been killed for their faith. He demands it. Be sure to let us know when you engage in self-mutilation to keep from sinning. Jesus commands it.
We aren't saved by works but works tend to follow saving faith
