But... but... but I thought his teachings were about giving tax concessions to filthy rich executives and corporations, criminalising homelessness, and unconditionally supporting the genocidal, apartheid state of Israel. Isn't one of the Ten Commandments, "Thou shalt make a killing on the stock-market"?
You mean I was wrong? 😳

@Bel6EQUJ5 You are talking about Christian beliefs. They are derived from the Hebrew Bible. The "Ten Commandments" were given to Moses by the God of Judaism. Christianity is essentially a Jewish religion, and that is why the US is armed to the teeth and support "an eye for an eye" military response to any threat to the homeland. You hit me, I hit you ten times harder. This is not the teaching of the Jesus I am talking about. Turn the other cheek is the right response of love.

@Bel6EQUJ5 It's not pacifism. The word "love" has a different meaning. It's not affection that an individual has for another. "Turn the other cheek" is a translation using language to transmit something profound. Linguistic code is like smoke signals. Can you grasp a puff of smoke to intuit what "love" means?
There is not much difference between Christianity and Judaism. They both expound the same moral values: an eye for an eye. Look at Gaza. They are ripping eyes out for Oct 7. And the Christians in America are condoning and even supporting the violence.
