What has gender identity got to do with human sexuality? The former is a psychological sense of being while the latter is a biological response. What are we? A biological organism or a psychological concept of self? We have no definite answer to this question; and that is the cause of confusion, a state of bewilderment.
This comes from freedom - at last - from being dictated to by those who themselves have been dictated to by a Book or a Church, and a society based loosely upon it. Freedom is dangerous, of course it is.
Human sexuality is a natural response consistent with that of the birds in the air, the fish in the sea, and all creatures of the earth. None are either dictated to by a Book or a Church; or granted freedom to deviate from the norm.
Our conduct in relationship is never called into question until confusion arises.
Confusion will always accompany freedom. That is the way of it.
Quite right because freedom implies the chaos of random motion, a state of disorder.
The answer is not, in my opinion, to try to reconstruct human relationships based upon any book written thousands of years ago, however much we might admire some of its verses.
As I pointed out, you are mistaken. Human sexual relationship consistent with that of all creatures in nature has divine guidance and predates any man-made book.
