The Bible Way to Heaven

1. Admit you are a sinner.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; -Romans 3:23
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: -Romans 5:12
*No one is good enough to go to Heaven on their own merit. No matter how much good we do, we still come short.

2. Realize the penalty for your sin.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. -Romans 6:23
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: -Romans 5:12
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. -Revelation 20:14-15
*There is a payment for our sin which is eternal death in a place called Hell and the Lake of Fire.

3. Believe that Christ died, was buried and rose from the grave as a payment for your sin.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. -Romans 5:8
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. -John 3:16
And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree: Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly; – Acts 10:39-40
*Salvation is simply putting your faith (or believing) that Jesus Christ paid for your sins.

4. Understand that salvation will last forever.

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; -Titus 1:2
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. -John 3:15-16
*When God saves you he gives you “eternal/everlasting” life; in other words, life that will never end; life that will last forever. So, when he saves you it is forever. No matter what you do after you receive “the gift of eternal life” it can never end. Otherwise God lied, and we know that God “cannot lie”.

5. Pray and ask Jesus Christ to save you.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. -Romans 10:9-10
*Eternal life is a gift purchased by the blood of Jesus and offered freely to those who call upon Him by faith. Anyone who believes on the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved forever. Being saved is a one time event. All you have to do is ask.

Let me help you word a prayer. Realize it is not mere words that save, but your faith in Jesus Christ.

Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I know I deserve to go to Hell. But I believe that you died on the cross, were buried, and rose from the grave to pay for my sins. Please save me and take me to Heaven when I die. Amen.

Wonderful post. I use to worry about my salvation, was I truly saved? What if I sinned and forgot to ask for forgiveness or what if I sinned and didn’t know it was a sin. I have grown in my relationship with my God ( I was traumatized in church as a child). I understood finally my salvation is permanent. That my friend is a wonderful feeling. I hope this post helps many people.

@AwakenEdge Amen. Praise The Lord Jesus Christ. Once we believe on Jesus Christ, we are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise until the day of redemption.

Ephesians 1:12-14 - That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

And once we believe on Christ, we are born again, we are born into the family of God. Once a son, always a son.

John 1:12 - But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

It's like being born into your biological family. You will always be a daughter of your parents no matter what happens or no matter what you do. Now, when you were disobedient, your parents disciplined you, but you are still their child. Same with God. When we are disobedient, God will physically chasten us and scourge us upon this earth because those who he loves he chastens and he scourges every son who he has received, but we are ALWAYS a son and we can never lose our salvation, no matter what.

In fact, the Bible teaches in Ephesians 2:6 that we are seated in heavenly placed with Christ Jesus RIGHT NOW. "And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:"

John 6:47 says, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life."

HATH EVERLASTING LIFE. We have it right now. That is present tense.

Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Salvation is a free gift, paid for by the giver, not the receiver. That gift is eternal life, so once you receive it, it goes on forever and God cannot take it away because if he did, it wouldn't have been a gift and it wouldn't have been eternal, and God cannot lie!

Titus 1:2 - In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

John 10:28 says, "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."

Romans 8:35-29 says, Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Bud nobody here is going to read all that.
We go short and sweet here. Oh and watch out for the middle aged men wearing diapers and pretending to be women. They’ll get you
You should start it off differently
