God's grace is His love, which we know is undeserved. And yet He loves us anyway. God the Father doesn't suffer by loving us...because He is God...but Jesus Christ suffered a lot so that we could be forgiven. THAT was true love.
Applying these same standards to imperfect humans, I would say that yes, love can be difficult for us at times. To love and be long suffering is rare. Most people will move away from those who make them suffer.

@4meAndyou yes you are right but lately I'm realizing the test I have been put through for the people I love takes long suffering. I'm trying hard to take this positively , its my family I'm learning to love in a way I have not before.

@teachmetiger210503 Some people do become estranged from their own families for the very reason we are discussing. To take on the burden of long suffering is noble...but self destructive in some ways.
