[c=BF0000] Please be aware that God warns us
"The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Matthew 24: 50[/c]

@Carazaa No one is doubting His immanent return. What everyone else is saying is that we have to be on task when He returns. Speculating about the timing of His return is not part of our task. It is sufficient to know it is soon. In the mean time get to work making disciples and proclaiming the Gospel for it is the power of the Gospel that changes the course of history.

@hippyjoe1955 That is NOT what Jesus said! He spoke of the 10 virgins as an example of all "christians" and half did not make heaven, only 5. The door shut because they were not expecting and prepared! They had no oil.

@hippyjoe1955 The Parable of the Ten Virgins -Matthew 25
25 “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish and five were wise. 3 The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4 The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5 The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

6 “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’

7 “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8 The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’

9 “‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’

10 “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.

11 “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’

12 “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’

13 [big]“Therefore keep watch, [/big]because you do not know the day or the hour.

@Carazaa

And there have been people ever since Christ's earthly time who have claimed that "this" generation was THEIR generation.
Carazaa · F
@Thinkerbell Some did claim that Jesus would come in earlier generations, very true! They didn't pay close attention to the signs of the last generation. My grandma wasn't deceived to think she was that generation, neither my parents. That's why she read the passages of the signs to me and told me that if you see these know Jesus WILL come within your lifespan. When we know the Bible we are not deceived. Jesus said [c=BF0000]"do not be deceived! "[/c] I remembered my grandmas words. In 2015 when all the signs are here all over the world. The signs that didn't show up earlier was the instant communication with smart phones, the gospel is going out instantly to the whole world now, travel is everywhere by planes or by car, what is wrong seems right, people being depressed and not wanting to live or get married or have kids, and iniquity and cold hearts. That was not in earlier generations everywhere but after smartphones. People have travelled by horse for 6000 years until the last 100 years. We had no instant communication before this generation, we had letters that had to be mailed.

@Carazaa so why are you sonfixated in technology? Why do you assume it is a sign of the end times? Why aren't you living your neighbors instead of being so focussed on the end times? I mean really what is so important about the end times? Yes they will happen. When? We don't know. But we have work to do. Let us get to work so that no one is left behind!
Carazaa · F
@hippyjoe1955 Why because it is a new world that is coming soon, and people need to know. And I am doing everything I can with my money, in my work, and in my neighborhood.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Carazaa And we are still living in the old world with a lot of work to be done bringing people to Christ. You are accusing others of being deceived when they simply point out that the end times are fun to speculate on but must not change our outlook except to work all the harder to bring more people in. We have a limited time and we need to be at our task not kicking back because the world will end soon.
