How easy is it for you to be accepting of atheists? In particular, the rude and aggressive ones.

Lately I'm getting pretty irritated by a special kind of atheist, the ones that just stop by Christian posts and leave a 馃槀 or who make posts belittling or attacking Christians. It seems to be happening more often recently and I've had them pop up on posts that have nothing to do with Christianity.

I think everyone should be able to voice what they believe in a respectful way and its really bothering me that some people can't be kind or just pass on by if it's not in alignment with their world view.

How do you manage this kind of thing? Do you just ignore or do you block? Lately I'm blocking in order to protect my own mental health.

Well Jesus said we would never get a good word in from society.

It seems to me more American atheists do this- perhaps because of Christian Nationalists trying to defy the constitution, they then project their annoyance with them onto ther Christians.

@BritishFailedAesthetic I think that's true, it's alien to me but I'm English and religion hasn't made its way into politics here otherwise I think we would have the same issues.
@Patientlywaiting It's such a good thing it hasn't. "If you're a Christian you'd vote for X" 馃檮

@BritishFailedAesthetic I wouldn't if their other policies were not in alignment with what I believe in. Isn't Trump meant to be the political party for Christians in America? He doesn't seem in any way Christian to me so I would not be voting for him.
@Patientlywaiting Trump is clearly acting to appease his fan base, love the clip where the reporter asks him what his favourite bible verse is 馃槀

@BritishFailedAesthetic yeah if he had he'd realise building a wall to keep the Mexicans out isn't very Christian same with the majority of his policies.
@Patientlywaiting Well, Christians are divided by that matter but how you treat a migrant is very important. "Filthy illegals", no matter how you go about it, is not Christ like conduct.
