Christians: Can women lead a Righteous Kingdom? Or Queendom, i suppose. Or is it not in a woman's nature to be able to lead righteously?

a righteous kingdom requires only one leader. and many servants. I would not want to be ruled by a woman. that would be kind of scary. i mean look at Bethsheba. lol
@DaveyTaco

Would you want to be ruled by Putin?
Heavenlywarrior · 36-40, M
@DaveyTaco my man
DaveyTaco · 31-35, M
@Pikachu that would definitely not be the idea of a righteous kingdom that i'd imagine. i'd rather be ruled by someone who was fitting and rewarding of the position.
@DaveyTaco

So you believe there are men who are unfit to rule and men who are fit to rule...why then are there not women who are unfit to rule but also women who are fit to rule?
DaveyTaco · 31-35, M
@Pikachu i suppose it all goes back to the idea of what is righteous and what is not. i just couldn't imagine myself being ruled by a woman, not so much because of biblical reasons, but because i would most likely stare at the body that rules me. honestly lol
@DaveyTaco

...so your argument is that you imagine a sexually attractive woman ruling you and you couldn't take direction or guidance from a person you find attractive?

Have you ever been in a relationship with a woman? Did you find that you couldn't respect her because you found her attractive?
DaveyTaco · 31-35, M
@Pikachu I don't know if i'd call it an argument of sorts but more that i feel i couldn't be ruled by a woman because shes probably gonna be too hot for me to listen to lol so i'd be pretty much running for the hills

and that's a different dynamic to the conversation um well i've been in relationships like that when i was a teenager yes.
Heavenlywarrior · 36-40, M
@DaveyTaco that’s actually a good point. Another perspective
@DaveyTaco

So if there was a 60 year old woman who had lived her life, gained wisdom and learned the skills to make good decisions for a community...you would be too sexually aroused by her to take her guidance?
@Heavenlywarrior

What exactly did you think was good about that point? Specifically?
DaveyTaco · 31-35, M
@Pikachu that would be different. i usually imagine leaders to be of a mature age of sorts, though since an older woman would not have much time to rule, to be honest with you i'd have to honor the position of the elder if i had no choice i'm just not quite sure how i feel about a female ruler in a righteous kingdom. if it was a question of whether or not a female could be president, i wouldn't care, it just wouldnt be considered a righteous kingdom anyway since freedom of choice is disregarded when it comes to presidency.
DaveyTaco · 31-35, M
@Pikachu not to mention what really is a righteous kingdom u know
Heavenlywarrior · 36-40, M
@Pikachu first point he made is “ we would have to determine what is righteousness “ which I pointed out earlier… and secondly. A women is always a distraction to the men led by their Lust. Her shape and body automatically gets US EMOTIONAL
@DaveyTaco

So if we remove your fetishization of women in general from the equation, what makes you feel insecure or nervous about a woman in charge of a righteous kingdom?
@Heavenlywarrior
we would have to determine what is righteousness
And earlier i challenged you to define what is righteous and why a woman could not fulfill those requirements.
Please feel free to meet that challenge now.
A women is always a distraction to the men led by their Lust. Her shape and body automatically gets US EMOTIONAL
Women are not just sexual objects and a man who is led by lust has no place in a righteous kingdom.
Additionally, you are making a fetish of women in general, assuming that you would be so unable to control your own lust that any leader with breasts and a vagina would cause you to be unable to pay attention to their message.

With god as your witness, is that a deficiency in women or your own indulgence of your lust?
DaveyTaco · 31-35, M
@Pikachu to my knowledge, and i'm probably not knowledgeable enough for this response to be honest, but, i personally don't know of any female leaders that would be worthy of this righteous kingdom, if it were to imply that one could exist. the question of whether or not one could exist on earth, which we all live and breath, would ultimately turn into control of sorts and anyone who disagrees would be disregarded. there's not enough good on earth for there to be anything righteous.
Heavenlywarrior · 36-40, M
@Pikachu I said men who are led by lust… so if she is the “ Leader” she would be in front of a lot of men… even some who aren’t as strong in their walk…

If a Man is leading that scenario won’t exist for the Men unless he’s gay.
Heavenlywarrior · 36-40, M
@Pikachu it would be their own lust and insecurities
@DaveyTaco

What present day male would you consider worthy of a righteous kingdom?
the question of whether or not one could exist on earth, which we all live and breath, would ultimately turn into control of sorts
I'm not sure what you mean by this or how it is specific to women...
DaveyTaco · 31-35, M
@Pikachu oh, "one" being "righteous kingdom" sorry i should have specified. and i would have to say one of my good friends from the past.
@Heavenlywarrior
If a Man is leading that scenario won’t exist for the Men unless he’s gay.
...and what of the women?
Is a man unfit to rule because women who aren't "strong in their walk" may feel lust for him?
This argument is self defeating.
it would be their own lust and insecurities
That's right. Just as it is your own lust and insecurities upon which you base the arguments you are making.
@DaveyTaco

And i've known at least a couple women who i think would be more suitable to lead a righteous kingdom than anyone ruling today.
So where does that leave us on the overall suitability of women to lead a righteous kingdom?
Have we moved pas your fetishization of women to the point where you might be prepared to make a case for or against?
DaveyTaco · 31-35, M
@Pikachu yes we have. hey, ill be back in a bit buddy feel free to message me if you want, i just wanted to give some insight maybe inspire new possible ideas, and i totally forgot that this question was for christians. lol
@DaveyTaco

Sorry man, but i don't think you actually gave any insight.
You essentially argued that a) "look at Bethsheba" i'm not sure why and b) you think you'd be too horny to follow a woman.
DaveyTaco · 31-35, M
@Pikachu youre right lol
